2024 NBA All-Star Crossover Experience – Dropping Dimes Challenge

Nextperience designed and developed a 17-foot digital Plinko game consisting of 63 screens, a NBA ID registration scan station and email prize notification system. The design project adhered to the overall 2024 NBA All-Star brand guidelines. The goal was to create another captivating consumer activation experience during the 3-day NBACrossover event at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

 

Solution:

The solution presented by Nextperience was the “Dropping Dime Challenge,” a giant-sized interactive Plinko game specifically designed for installation at the NBA Crossover event.

 

A QR scan station was designed for gameplay registration. The scan station seamlessly integrated with the NBA Events app, providing a user-friendly experience for game participants.

 

An email notification system was implemented delivering branded prize notifications to game participants. The prizes included coveted tickets to concerts and games, as well as NBAstore.com gift cards.

 

Backend:

The backend infrastructure was carefully developed to support the seamless functioning of the interactive Plinko game and the associated consumer registration and prize notification process. Robust technology ensured a smooth and enjoyable experience for participants.

 

Result:

The success metrics of Nextperience’s Dropping Dime Challenge include a significant number of interactions, registrations, and positive consumer feedback.
